"Use your God-given gifts to serve others." 1 Peter 4: 10
In our first Collective Worship about Thankfulness, we will think about how important it is to be thankful for what we have got. It is very easy to think about the things that we would like to have- things that maybe our friends have got- like expensive trainers, or the latest iPhone. It is easy to forget the things that we do have, and sometimes forget to be thankful for.
Remember the Aesop's fable about the Dog and his Bone? If he had been happy with what he had got, he wouldn't have ended up with nothing.
What are you thankful for?
In this assembly, we think about how we can't change the things that happen to us; but we can sometimes change the way we respond to them.
If we can find the good in a situation, we will become happier and more positive people.
