St John's C of E Primary School

"Use your God-given gifts to serve others." 1 Peter 4: 10

Collective Worship

We have a collective worship every day. As a Church School, our worship is Christian and in the Anglican tradition.

The majority of the community that we serve is not Christian, and we seek to ensure that our worship is inclusive to those of all faiths and none. We hope that our worship gives all children the opportunity, without compulsion, to grow in their own faith, whatever that may be, through experiences of prayers, stillness, worship and reflection.

Children reflect on their own faith, their values and the choices they make in life. They consider how their actions impact others, and how to live well.

At St John's we celebrate diversity; learning about what makes us the same as well as what makes us different.

Every week, children are chosen by their teachers and their peers for demonstrating the value of the week. You can see our Values Champions by clicking the link below.

We end our worship with a Sending Out, like the ones below:

That working together,

And playing together,

And to serve one another
