Remote Learning Week Beginning 10th January 2022

Year 4 Remote Learning wk beginning 10th January 2022

Hi Year 4,

Here is your remote learning for this week if you are isolating - remember, you don't have to complete any work at home if you feel poorly! Make sure your grown ups let the school office know if you are isolating. Mrs Large will check in with them via e-mail over the next few days to check you are all ok.

Please complete one lesson per day, prioritising the 'Iron Man' lessons:

The Iron Man by Ted Hughes

1) In school your class is reading 'The Iron Man' by Ted Hughes. Follow this link to hear chapter 1, and then answer the questions relating to chapter 1 on the document below (you'll need to scroll right down).

2) Follow this link to hear chapter 2, and then answer the questions relating to chapter 2 on the document below (you'll need to scroll right down).

3 - 5) SPAG:

Please complete one lesson per day. Watch the video via the link and then scroll down to the bottom of this page for the worksheet. If you can print them off that’s great, but please don’t worry if you can’t. You can just write the answers on paper or a blank BGfL document. Please also note that the worksheet documents don't always upload in the correct order - make sure you are using the worksheet that matches the video lesson.

Lesson 1: Unit and non-unit fractions -

Lesson 2: What is a fraction?

Lesson 3: Tenths -

Lesson 4: Counting in tenths -

Lesson 5: Equivalent fractions -

Please choose 1 to 2 of these lessons each day

Science - Electrical Engineers   (6 lessons)

In RE, we would like you to watch this video about the Shema - the Jewish holy prayer. It is very special to Jews and has lots of very important and meaningful words in it. Can you think of any other similar prayers or words that are really important to you? It may just be specific words like 'strength', 'love' or 'kindness'. Words that are very small but mean a lot to the people you say it to because it shows them that you care. We would like you to create a piece of work using some of the words that are special to you. You could turn it into a prayer or even a poem and then decorate it. You could even create some word art like the ones below. If you can, send us in a picture of your work so that we can have a look too:
