"Use your God-given gifts to serve others." 1 Peter 4: 10
This week in maths we are completing the block on multiplication and division. This is where you now need to apply your knowledge and use your skills, often to real-life problems.
Monday
This will help with both your multiplication and division.
Revise your times tables by watching these videos. Watch the videos where you think you need extra practice.

Choose a times table that you find the trickiest and using this sheet, fill in the white squares with the number. https://www.j2e.com/st-johns-cofe-primary-school5/Mrs+W+SMITH/Mon+Times+tables/ This then creates multiplication and division sentences for you to answer. Here is my example:

2. Division with remainders - word problems. Apply your knowledge of division with remainders to these worded problems.

For these problems you have to share first and then see if you have any left. This is called a remainder. Remember when you divide (share) each person has to have an equal (same) amount.
Example:
James has 6 bread rolls. He shares them equally with his four sisters.
How many do they have each? 1
How many will be left over? 2

3. Mixed Word Problems
We have done a lot of work on multiplication and division over the last few weeks. For these problems you have to decide is it a multiplication problem or a division problem? Once you have decided, you have to write the number sentence. You must write the number sentence and not just the answer! Remember multiplication is communicative 3 x 5 is the same as 5 x 3 but with division this isn’t the case 15 ÷ 3 does not give the same answer as 15 ÷ 5. Listen to the instructions on the page to help you.

For the last problem you can write your own!
