Children's Mental Health Week
Choose another activity from the ‘Mental Health Week – Express yourself’ document (scroll down to Monday for the document, and remember - there are plenty of activities on there that you can do independently if your family are a bit busy working during the day - you can save some to do with them at the weekend instead :)
Independent Research Project
One of our 5 main focuses during Children’s Mental Health Week is ‘Keep Learning’. Staying creative and inquisitive helps us to stay mentally healthy 😊 So, today and tomorrow, you are going to complete an independent research project about...anything you like! Favourite animal, favourite movie, a country you’d really like to visit... go for it!
Ideally it will be on Powerpoint on BGfL (but you may do it on paper or other platforms) and you will think carefully about different sections to split your topic into.
For example, if I was doing a project about cats, I might have the following sections:
1) Different breeds of cats
2) What do cats like to eat?
3) Cat behaviour/likes and dislikes
4) How to look after a pet cat...
...etc (this is just an example!)
Remember if you type in things like ‘for kids/KS2/Primary school’ after your searches, it helps to make sure you get suitable content that isn’t too complicated. Make sure an adult is nearby when searching online.

Children's Mental Health Week:
This week is Children’s Mental Health Week. We have a range of activities for you to do that will help you to connect, be active, take notice, keep learning and give. These five things helps us to have healthy minds.
Look at the word document below, choose an activity to do together with your family. If you have brothers and sisters in school, they all have the same activities too.
Don’t forget to send us pictures of what you’ve been getting up to!
