Year 3 Remote learning Jan 5^th- 7^th

Hi year 3,

Here is your remote learning for this week if you are isolating - remember, you don't have to complete any work at home if you feel poorly! Make sure your grown up let the school office know if you are isolating. Mrs Large will check in with them via e-mail over the next few days to check you are all ok.

English and Topic

You are carrying on with your geology topic and will be looking at Pompeii this week.

Then please have a look at the attached Power Point, and then make an information poster or fact file with the facts you have learned. Make sure your reader understands what Pompeii was like before the volcano, what happened during the volcano eruption, and what Pompeii was like after the eruption (including why it is so useful to Historians today).

You want it to be eye-catching, interesting and easy for the reader to use and understand. Be sure to include things such as pictures, diagrams, maps, fact boxes etc, and think carefully about how you organise your information into paragraphs with features such as subtitles, headings, bullet points etc. 

You may wish to do more independent online research – please make sure you only do so if an adult is in the room with you, though. 

Maths

Spend some time each day on Numbots and TT Rockstars – at least 15-20 minutes on each if possible.

Reading

Please make sure you read for 20-30 minutes daily. Books at home or Reading Planet is great – whichever you prefer.
