"Use your God-given gifts to serve others." 1 Peter 4: 10
Hi Year 4,
Here is your remote learning for this week if you are isolating - remember, you don't have to complete any work at home if you feel poorly! Make sure your grown ups let the school office know if you are isolating. Mrs Large will check in with them via e-mail as soon as possible to check you are all ok, and to help you with your remote learning if needs be.
Please complete one English lesson per day. Some lessons are linked to Ted Hughes – The Iron Man, and others are revision based.
The Iron Man
(These lessons relate to chapters 3-5. If you have not previously learned about Iron Man for any reason, please go back to last week’s remote learning and complete the lessons on chapters 1 and 2 first.)
Follow this link to hear chapter 3 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q_wgcrIX5iM and then answer the questions relating to chapter 3 on the document below (you'll need to scroll right down).
Follow this link to hear chapter 4 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NAiU8Hm-4lw and then answer the questions relating to chapter 4 on the document below (you'll need to scroll right down).
Follow this link to hear chapter 5 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HzGQUs6Vcjc , and then answer the questions relating to chapter 5 on the document below (you'll need to scroll right down).
You may have already completed some of these if you were isolating last week– that’s fine – just continue from where you got to last time. You don’t need to complete them all. Just make sure you do one English lesson a day: https://classroom.thenational.academy/units/t2-word-level-objectives-8c26
Please complete lessons 1-5 – one each day (It is revision of things you will have learned last week, whether in school or isolating. If you missed some lessons last week, you may wish to go back to last week’s remote learning and start from there): https://classroom.thenational.academy/units/fractions-ed51
Topic, Spanish and RE
Please choose 1 lesson per day
Science - Electrical Engineers
There are six lessons for you to follow here: https://classroom.thenational.academy/units/electrical-circuits-06f7 (If you were isolating last week you may have already completed some of these. That’s fine – just pick up where you left off.)
Today's lesson is a re-cap of Spanish greetings, some of which you may have already learnt in class and others which will be new to you. Click on the following link and work through the page - there is an audio button for each word to help you perfect your pronunciation. Once you are feeling confident create a fun poster showing all the different ways you can say hello!
Fairness and Justice are our values this term, but what do those words actually mean? Today, we would like you to look up those words and think about how we can demonstrate those qualities as individuals. You and your family may give regularly to charities as a way of sharing your wealth and try to make things a bit fairer. You may also have stood up for a friend at school when you felt they were being treated unkindly by others or fought for justice for something you strongly believed in. Watch this video and have a think about its message, then create us a poster to show us what you have understood:
