In 2022, she announced she had been diagnosed with stiff-person syndrome, a rare neurological disease. She said the disease affected every aspect of her life, making it difficult to walk, and affected her vocal chords. She cancelled all of her tour dates and stopped singing. It was a very sad and difficult time for her and she had to work hard to try and recover some of her voice. She sang in public for the first time in 4 years at the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games in Paris. She performed "Hymne à l’amour" from the Eiffel Tower. It was an incredible achievement and showed how hard she had persevered.
