  • Soprano - Charlotte Church 9.1.23

    Soprano

Charlotte Church (21 February 1986) is a Welsh singer-songwriter, actress, television presenter and political activist from Wales.

She was discovered at the age of 11 when she sang "Pie Jesu" over the telephone on the television show This Morning. She was so impressive that she went on to perform on the tv, recorded albums and performed for people all over the world before she was even 16.

She has a classically trained soprano voice. A soprano is the highest female voice type. Sopranos can sing high notes with ease. Some sopranos are called Coloratura sopranos – they can sing even higher!

As Charlotte grew older, she experimented with writing and recording other music and she has also had a successful pop career.
