Please watch the video. When the teacher in the video asks a question, pause the video and write your response to the question (preferably on J2e5) before resuming the video.

If you have watched the whole video and found it very tricky, try writing some sentences using these model verbs instead:

Today’s lesson is continuing with our learning about prepositions.

Please watch the video. When the teacher in the video asks a question, pause the video and write your response to the question (preferably on J2e5) before resuming the video.

Some of the concepts are a little tricky today – especially when comparing prepositions to other grammatical terms. Please don’t worry. Do your best and we will go over it all again in school. It will be a good reminder of some of the concepts we have covered such as noun phrases, adverbs etc., so it’s fresher in

your mind by the time we re-visit it.

If you have watched the whole video and found it very tricky, try writing some sentences using these prepositions of time instead (remember to be careful to use the correct tense!).

Topic - Islamic Golden Age

This is our last week learning about the Islamic Golden Age

Think back to our previous lessons, and read the ‘knowledge organiser’ for Islamic Golden Age below

Choose some favourite facts! (Minimum of 5).

Then follow this link to a Padlet page:

https://padlet.com/nclarke45/bmhuia36uu50pqaq

Click the round pink button in the bottom right hand corner – it will bring up a white box for you to type in your facts (in your own words, please). I will then approve it, and it will appear so everyone can see 😊

We will discuss our favourite facts later in the week!

English

This week we are looking at Grammar.

Today's lesson is about the 4 types of sentence: Statement, Command, exclamation and question.

Watch the video. When the teacher in the video asks a question, pause the video and write your response to the question below before resuming the video.

https://classroom.thenational.academy/lessons/to-explore-the-four-types-of-sentence-statement-command-exclamation-and-question-c9jked

(If you want a link to take you straight to a J2e5 document, try this: https://www.j2e.com/st-johns-cofe-primary-school5/Miss+N+Clarke2/Monday+English/)

If you find the questions very tricky, watch the video and then simply try to write your own example of a statement, a command, an exclamation and a question.

Here’s an example:

Statement: I went to the park.

Command: Go to the park.

Exclamation: The park is lovely!

Question: Shall we go to the park?
