Year 6 Remote learning Jan 5^th- 7^th

Hi year 6,

Here is your remote learning for this week if you are isolating - remember, you don't have to complete any work at home if you feel poorly! Make sure your grown up let the school office know if you are isolating. Mrs Large will check in with them via e-mail over the next few days to check you are all ok.

English and Topic 

You are beginning a new topic on World War 2. This week’s learning mostly focusses around getting an understanding of the topic. Please watch the following videos and then make an information poster or fact file with the facts you have learned.

You want it to be eye-catching, interesting and easy for the reader to use and understand. Be sure to include things such as pictures, diagrams, maps, fact boxes etc, and think carefully about how you organise your information into paragraphs with features such as subtitles, headings, bullet points etc. 

You may wish to do more independent online research – please make sure you only do so if an adult is in the room with you, though.

This week we are recapping on adding and subtracting fractions – which we learned before Christmas.

Please make sure you go on Reading Plus for at least half an hour a day.
