Welcome to week 6 of remote learning. This week we are continuing to focus on bees!
Focus text: How Bees make Honey - Explanation writing
In this lesson, we are going to create a word bank by generating different nouns, adjectives, verbs and adverbs to use in our writing.
Here is an example to start:
2. LO: To practise and apply knowledge of compound words, including test
In this lesson, we will practise and apply our knowledge of compound words. We will learn how to practise using the spot the syllable strategy.
3. LO: To orally explain a process
In this lesson, we will practise retelling the process of honey orally. You will practise using the precise vocabulary and sentence starters you have learnt already and then put all this into two written sentences at the end.
Choose two pictures. Write your sentences here using these sequencing pictures: https://www.j2e.com/st-johns-cofe-primary-school5/Mrs+W+SMITH/Wed+Bee+sentences/
4. LO: To plan an explanation text
In this lesson, we will write a plan, using our word bank and sequencing pictures to help us.
Complete this sheet: Go to BGFL, click on the square called shared files, click on your class folder, click on the file called Thurs Bee Plan, now click edit (top left hand corner) and you can write on the sheet. If it wiggles then click the lock box (bottom right hand side of the page).
