Remote Learning

Hi Year One,

What a super start to our school year! It has been so wonderful getting to know all of you and your families!

Here is a link to our Padlet page which has a range of activities for you to complete at home during our Christmas break. You do not need to bring the completed work back to school but you can upload it to Padlet if you would like to.

We are still sending home reading books inside you book bags so please do read those during the holiday too.

You can also click on the Reading Planet and Numbots link from Padlet. You will need to use your log in and password details that were sent home.

Please talk to one of the teachers if you need any help logging on.

Best Wishes,

Miss Cowan and Mrs Rooker

Hi Year One!

It is such a shame we cannot enjoy our last few days together. Thank you for being so committed to your learning and continuing to work at home. Over the next few days, and for summer, there are a few skills you could continue to learn and develop. There are also lots of websites that could support you in your learning.

This link will take you to the selection of Set 3 phonics videos to practise:

It would be fantastic to practise lots of counting at home, working out one more and one less than a given number. You could practise your addition and subtraction too. We have been practising number bonds to 10 and 20, so perhaps you could wow your parents with your fantastic addition knowledge!

You could make Eid cards for family and friends to practise writing. You could also write a weather report now we have been blessed with this lovely sunshine.

Remember to stay creative, too! If you have pens and pencils at home you could practise drawing. If not you could make a natural collage from things in your garden and house.

Have a fantastic summer, we will miss you lots!

Thanks again,

Miss O'Sullivan and Miss Cowan
