Gross and fine motor tasks

Monday- FINE MOTOR: Smash moon rocks with a hammer. Here is the recipe for the moon rocks.

 

 

Tuesday-

GROSS MOTOR: Throw asteroids (balls of silver foil) into a bucket.

 

 

 

Wednesday-

GROSS + FINE MOTOR: Toss and balance the moon rocks (silver foil) using a large spoon. They might even have an egg and spoon (space race) with them.

Thursday-

FINE MOTOR Unravel the moon rocks (silver foil).

 

Friday-

GROSS MOTOR: Jump, run and balance like a rocket ship.

 

 

 

 

Weekly Writing Tasks 

Monday- Ask your child to draw their own alien and label it.

TECHNOLOGY CHALLENGE: Can you ring the drawing to life using the Chatterpix app. Encourage your child to pretend to be the alien and record their sentences.

Tuesday- Write an invitation to the alien to invite them to your very own space party. 

Wednesday- Your child can draw out or write their own menu for an alien. What does an alien eat? Moon-burgers, star biscuits or fruit rockets. Click here for more ideas.

Thursday- Task your child with designing their own spaceship. Can they describe how the machine would move.

Friday- Ask your child to look up to the sky and down to the ground. Ask them to draw what they can see and have a go at completing the sentence, I can see a…
