"Use your God-given gifts to serve others." 1 Peter 4: 10
Dear Parents,
I hope this email finds you and your families safe and well.
I want to update you on some things going on at St John’s School.
Parents’ Evening:
Unfortunately, we cannot open the school to parents at present. Teachers will therefore be making phone calls next Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday between 3.30pm and 6.00pm. They will call the first two numbers that we have for each child, so if you have changed your number, please ring the office and let us know. If you are unable to take the call, the teacher will try again on a different day. If you know that you will not be able to speak to the teacher on any of those days, please ring school to arrange an alternative time. This will not include the Nursery.
Important Dates:
School will be closed on Friday 23rd October and Monday 2nd November for staff training.
Children will break up for half term on Thursday 22nd October at 3.15pm, and return to school on Tuesday 3rd November.
Black History Day:
Next week, children in every class will be learning about an aspect of Black British History. We will not be able to invite parents in this year, due to Covid restrictions on visitors, but I am sure children will enjoy the day.
Weather:
The weather has suddenly become very Autumnal. It would really help if you sent your child into school with a named waterproof coat.
Thank you for all your supportive messages in the mornings. I love speaking to so many of you on your way into school. It's a great way to start the day.
Best wishes,
Mrs Seymour
