"Use your God-given gifts to serve others." 1 Peter 4: 10
Dear Parents/ Carers,
I hope you are safe and well.
We are really looking forward to welcoming all of the children back to school on Monday. I know some of them are very excited, whilst others will be understandably anxious about the change. Please reassure them that everything in school is the way it was last term, and that we are all here to help them settle in. If you feel that your child would benefit from some extra support with their emotional wellbeing, please call school and ask to speak to Mrs O'Keefe (after 8am), or catch a member staff outside in the morning.
We still have a "soft opening" in the mornings, so your children can arrive from 8.40-9.00am. Children will need to bring their pencil cases (unless they left it at school), and their water bottle on Monday. We will still be washing hands regularly and using hand sanitiser, just as we were last term; and children will still be kept in year group bubbles to stop the virus spreading around school.
The staff are ready to welcome the children on Monday morning and are all very glad to not be having to use the phrases: "unmute yourself", "I'm going to share my screen", or "can you hear me?" whilst battling technology! It will be lovely for the children to see their teachers in 3D, and be able to play with their friends again.
Next week, we will be concentrating on Reading, Writing and Maths, but also on reminding children of our high standards in behaviour, and our values, in particular the Golden Rule: Treat others the way you want to be treated. We will also be doing lots of activities with the children to help them with their mental wellbeing, after another big change in their lives.
I have attached a very useful Newsletter from WM Police which I hope you will read. It gives you lots of links and resources to help keep yourself and your children safe.
Best wishes,
Mrs Seymour
