End of Term
Dear Parents/Carers,
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you and your families from all of the staff at St John's School. I hope you have a lovely break with your children.
I know there is a lot of speculation in the media about whether schools will reopen in January. At the moment we have not had any official communication from the Department for Education about this, and so we assume we will be open to children on Wednesday 5th January.
We always like to be prepared, so St John's is ready for whatever the new year brings- whether that is business as usual in school, or remote learning at home. Assuming schools are fully open, we might be instructed to go back into bubbles and stagger start and finish times again. Any decision from the DfE is likely to be made at the last minute, so please watch out for emails and text messages from school. If you have changed your mobile number or email address, please let the office know so that we can contact you.
Thank you for all of the support and encouragement that you have given to us this term. It has been a pleasure to teach your children and to support you.
