"Use your God-given gifts to serve others." 1 Peter 4: 10
Dear Parents and Carers,
At the curriculum workshops last week, I showed parents where to find details about what their child was learning. There was a lot of information to take in, so I am sharing the link to the relevant page here:
In each Year group, you will find every topic that your child is going to learn throughout the year.
For each topic there are three documents. There is a printable version of each one underneath the picture of it on the page.
1. A KDU Grid (Know, Do, Understand)
This is what teachers use to write their planning. It gives lots of detail about what we want children to Know, be able to Do, and to Understand by the end of each topic.
2. A Topic Overview
This is for teachers, subject leaders and parents. It tells you what the topic is about, how it links to other things children have learned, and the assessment questions that we will use to check whether children have learned enough.
3. A Knowledge Organiser
This is for children to use. It helps them memorise information from the topics. It's the most useful document for each topic as it contains all the key information children will learn. They should have these stuck into their homework books so that they can refer to them as often as they need to.
You can also find detail about the English and Maths your children will be learning on this page:
Best wishes,
Mrs Seymour
