Covid update 17.9.20
Dear Parents,
I hope this email finds you safe and well.
Just a couple of updates to alert you to:
1. If you keep your child home with any of the symptoms of Covid, please book a test as soon a you can.
It can take a while to get a test but we want your child to stay at home until the result has come back. The sooner they have a test, the quicker they can come back to school.
This is because children can start to feel better, but still have Covid which they can then spread to other children, resulting in us having to send their class home to self-isolate.
Any child of school age can be tested.
2. You will not be fined for keeping your child at home if they are ill.
The government has threatened to fine parents who keep their children at home for no good reason, so please don't worry about keeping a child at home if they are poorly, or if you are waiting for test results to come back.
3. Please wear a face covering at drop-off and pick-up times.
Please help the community stay safe: lots of parents have spoken to me about how uncomfortable they are with other parents not covering their faces.
