Changes to Parents' Evening
Dear Parents,
It is difficult for you to talk to teachers on Parents' Evening without other parents overhearing the conversation.
We are going to run an experiment tomorrow by organising things differently, and then we will ask for your feedback.
If your child is in Nursery, Reception, Year 1 or Year 2, your appointment will be in your child's classroom, where you can look at the books and speak to the teachers.
If your child is in Year 3, Year 4, Year 5 or Year 6, YOU WILL NEED TO GO TO THE HALL TO MEET THE TEACHER. You can still go up to the classroom and look at your child's books- either before or after your appointment with the teacher.
We hope that having the teachers in the hall will allow you to speak to them without being overheard.
There will be chairs in the middle of the hall, which you can sit on whilst waiting for your appointment. The teacher will call you over to their desk at your appointment time. PLEASE be in the hall at the right time.
We will ask for feedback as you leave, to help us work out which system worked best.
