Queen

Queen are a British rock band that was formed in London in 1970. They are one of the most successful music acts of all time, selling over 300 million records worldwide. The members were Freddie Mercury (lead vocals, piano), Brian May (lead guitar, vocals), Roger Taylor (drums, vocals), and John Deacon (bass guitar). 

Three of their biggest hits were: "Bohemian Rhapsody, "We Will Rock You", and "We Are the Champions" 

Freddie Mercury, the lead singer, was named Farrokh Bulsara. His parents were born in Iraq and he was born in Zanzibar. The family moved to London when he was 18. Freddie was known for his flamboyant personality and incredible vocals. He could sing over 4 octaves which means he could sing really low and really high.He passed away at the age of 45 but even after his death, he is consistently voted as one of the greatest singers in the history of popular music.
