  • Collective Worship

We have a collective worship every day. As a Church School, our worship is Christian and in the Anglican tradition.

The majority of the community that we serve is not Christian, and we seek to ensure that our worship is inclusive to those of all faiths and none. Our daily acts of Collective Worship are invitational; giving all the opportunity to come together to strengthen understanding of the values and ethos of the school. We want our worship to give all children, staff and visitors the opportunity, without compulsion, to grow in their own faith, whatever that might be, through experiences of prayers, stillness, worship and reflection.

Children reflect on their own faith, their values and the choices they make in life. They consider how their actions impact others, and how to live well.

At St John's we celebrate diversity; learning about what makes us the same as well as what makes us different.

    Our School Prayer

    Oh Lord,

    Bless our school,

    That working together,

    And playing together,

We may learn to serve you,

    And to serve one another

    Amen.
