Leaving home

Passenger were a British folk rock band established in 2003 in Brighton and Hove, England with Mike Rosenberg as the frontman. He is now a solo artist and writes and performs all of his songs. One of his top selling hits was ‘Let her go’ which became one of the most viewed videos on YouTube with over 3 billion views. 

 

The song here is called ‘to be free’. It tells the autobiographical story of his grandparents and father who left Germany as a result of the Holocaust.
