Remote Learning

Friday 10th March

Good morning Year 2. We hope you are not too disappointed that school is closed.

There is plenty you can do at home to keep you busy.

Today we'd like you to spend at least twenty minutes reading on Reading Planet. Can you do a quiz?

You can also practise your times tables on TT Rockstars.

On the Whole school resources page there are lots of links that you can explore; you've used many of them in school so you should know what to do.

Under the Storytime star on the Year 2 page you'll find some videos of stories recorded by some familiar faces!

You can also complete some of these activities

Maths

Geography

Test your knowledge of oceans and seas https://classroom.thenational.academy/units/oceans-and-seas-a546

If you can't get online you could retell the story of Katie Morag and the Two Grandmothers on a piece of paper. Think about capital letters and full stops and exclamation marks. Can you use interesting adjectives to describe the two grandmothers? Can you start your sentences in different ways?

You can also look at the homework tasks in your homework book and read your reading books.

If you have any time left you can even build a snowman! Wrap up warm and see you on Monday.

Mrs Bata, Miss Poole, Miss Brittle and Miss Ahmed.
