The Census at Bethlehem

Luke 2: 1-4 

Luke describes the event. “And it came to pass in those days that a decree went out from Caesar Augustus that all the world should be registered… Joseph went to Bethlehem to be registered with Mary, who was with child.”  

The artist has painted this picture and set it in Belgium, in a really harsh, cold winter. There are lots of people in this painting. Can you spot Mary and Joseph? (Clue – look for the donkey)
