Children return to school.

This week we were really looking forward to seeing all of the children back in school again. Our topic this week was the little red hen. We focused on getting back into the swing of things and getting the children back into the school routine. With our topic being the little red hen we all made playdoh together ( which we pretended was bread just like little red hen)  The children Really loved making their pretend bread. They made the playdoh and then pretended to make cakes, bread, pizza and so on for the rest of the week some of their creations were fabulous. We kept things very similar so it wasn't too overwhelming this week for them, lots of familiar toys and routines for them to enjoy.

This week we are embracing all things Christmas, we are looking at the book 'Dear Santa' which is very similar to the book we have already read a few weeks back 'Dear zoo' . The children will practice the skills they have gained over this term by re visiting activities they have done before but with a Christmas theme.

Dear Zoo!

 WB: 30/11/2020

This week we explored the book 'Dear Zoo', the children really enjoyed making animal noises and guessing what animal was inside the box! The children made some super lion masks and worked together as a team to create a fantastic artic scene.

WC 23.11.20 We've really enjoyed our book, 'What the Ladybird Heard' this week. This is our writing table where we added pictures and words to the farm scene.

WC 16.11.20 This week in Seedlings Hub we have been reading the book, Shark in the Dark by Peter Bently. We have used different mediums to create the sea, we have made our own jellyfish whilst discussing short and long (when making their tentacles) and we have created a wanted poster for the shark!
